The Volunteers of the IP (VIPs) are an essential part of the Krakow team and the backbone of our welcoming crew. They will be helping you get from one place to another, find a nice corner to have a bite, help you out on any questions/doubts you may have. Once upon a time they were also newcomers and tenderfoot to this amazing town, but after being here for a considerable amount of time, they have grown accustomed to the urban landscape, the student atmosphere, the academic culture and everything Polish. They are also international, they are also students, they know their way around so feel free to pick their brains and benefit from their experience. They are:
Erik Saari – He is originally from New York, but has lived in Krakow for almost two years. He is currently finishing up his MA degree in Central and Eastern European Studies at the Jagiellonian University. He will be more than happy to show you the best restaurants, cafes and bookshops the city has to offer, the most interesting cultural and historical sites, and the various styles of Poland’s famous vodkas.
Sohrab Sajadi – He moved to Krakow in 2011 to do a master at the Jagiellonian University and is doing his research on multiculturalism in Europe.
